10:54 pm - time to update as myself for a change
|
Holy shit its andrew updating, and not someone else stealing my identity, hehe, just kidding.
Well the semesteres practically over for me, i've only got one class to worry about now then its relaxing time. I'm looking forward to my brother coming over in just over a week for xmas.
I went to the Ga. Dome to see the Dawgs win the SEC, fucking great!!!!! Originally we all had gotten tickets thru jons brothers boss, but that morning the bitch decided that she wanted to go to the game afterall, even tho she didnt know jack shit about football. Needless to say we were all pissed off. SO we all went to atl to at least tailgate, and watch the game by the dome. After many hours spent at ESPNzone we got a found jons brother (jay) and went to the dome. Jamie already had a ticket so we just dropped him off and found parking. So we're walking to the dome (beers in hand) and w ask some scalpers what the tix are goin for now, they say face value ($50ish) so we decided to get some but needed to find an ATM for the cash. One scalper comes up to us and tells us to follow him to the ATM down the street. We follow him thru some sketch-ass alleys and get to the first ATM which didnt work. AFter that we ended up walking another 10 or so blocks to find the next ATM. After running for a few blocks, giving beer to bums, and some guy trying to sell coke (not the drink) to jay, we finally get our money and buy the tix. So we made it into the dome and watched the game. Absolutly great!

11:28 pm - The greatest cocktail party on earth!
|
What a weekend. For those of you who don't know, i went down to Jacksonville for the ga/fla football game. We all had an absolute blast, great fun. The hotel (Adams Mark) was excellent, and was in about a block away from the Landing. We left Athens around 8:00 am thursday and arrived around 2:00. Altho not before getting lost in Jacksonville thanks to the shitty ass directions mapquest gave us. I managed to pull us out of the Jax ghetto before we got shot and we somehow found the hotel. So we get everything into the hotel and start the weekend off with a group shot of bacardi 151. Jesus christ that stuff is so damn strong. Well that afternoon/evening consisted of a large amount of alcohol consumption, hoth tubs on the roof, retrieving a statue out of the pool, sauna, someone else wearing my boxers, a dissapointing trip to hooters where the girls wouldnt wear the right uniforms, and passing out at 10:30 cuz we were so blitzed.
Friday: Because we all passed out around 10:30 we all woke up around 7:00 am and were completely confused. We tried to find some food and ended up finding this place by the greyhound bus stop, this was not good food, especially for the damn price. good god. We start drinking around 11:30 (yeah we're alcoholics) and continue off and on into the day. Later on the girls show up making it 5 guys and 3 girls in a room that fits 4, fun times. We went to the Landing at nighht, and i have never seen so many people in one confined place in all my life, it was absolutely insane i'm telling you. I also ran into Derek Schmeelk of all people, unfortunately i don't really remember anythhing i said to him. Well Jamal and i ended up walking around till about 4:30 a.m. and somehow i still got to sleep in a bed.
Saturday: Game day. Played a lot of random drinking games, and pregamed all the way up to game time. We eventually found the stadium and i found a florida student scalping tix for about $75 a piece which was pretty decent. The game i will not talk about. I almost cried i was so upset, but thats just one game, we're still having an awesome season, and hopefully we'll still be playing in the SEC game. Didnt drink after the game, i dont think any of us were in the mood for it by then. Ended up watching Scarface, Naked Gun 2.5, and Braveheart.
Sunday drove back, and thats my weekend in a rather long nutshell.

1:30 am - I got a Lust for Life..
|
I like being a host. It can be pretty fun.
I also like drinking a large amount of alcohol when i'm around a bunch of fun people. Good times. So many people were here this weekend, Aki, Jeff, dorothy, corley, josh, marie, cronos, someone who could lose 10, maybe 20, and countless others. Some others who i had never seen before, but thats okay, i think i had a few good wholeful conversations with them over some beers. I missed the Georgia game this weekend, but thats ok, i'll make up for it at jacksonville next week.
Right now i honestly dont think that theres anything better than living right now and having fun. I think these last few months have been some of the best that i've experienced and its not going to stop now either. I'm pretty confident in being able to regulate fun with school or work, and really i couldn't be happier.
Family wise, my mum is over in scotland visiting my brother and gran, my dads joining her over there this friday/saturday. I just found out Chris is coming over here for christmas which will be great.
I think i'll bring up my keyboard from home and start playing piano a bit more, add that to the guitars, and the horrible (but funny) singing, and we should be set.
I'm really up for trying new things now too. Sky-Diving is a definite 'must' for the spring. Aki, i think you're in for it. Any other takers??

9:27 pm - I'm losin my religion.
|
Today i dropped my religion class. I didnt like it and i saw similarities with that and good ol' art history that treated me so well last year. Similarities being i didnt care for the class or the subject and basically didnt want to go to class in the mornings. So i'm pretty sure i'll get a W and not a WF in there, which would be good.
This week's been pretty damn busy, and it's just tuesday. Had a test yesterday, 2 today, and one on thursday, fun times. This weekend's gonna be a complete blast! Tennessee game weekend, then i see Sam on Sunday, hell yes. The following weekend should also be a blast when Madison Lane welcomes the arrival of a panther and a commodore. (aki and jeff).
I'm half watching Casablanca right now, that movies so damn good.
That's about it.

3:50 am - a few things i want to say..
|
i'm just gonna ramble a bit now. These are in no particular order of events and are not in response to any person/s, they're just thoughts of mine:
You live life once, fucking live it.
Don't let the little shit get you down, its "little" shit for a reason.
Shit happens, good shit and bad shit.
You can't always force anything, you kinda have to let it happen.
Don't let past experiences hinder your future ones.
People don't always say what they really mean.
Communication is like a path thru the woods, u stick to it you'll be allright, u veer off it, you might end up in quicksand trying to swim out but only getting deeper.
Silly sayings dont have to be paid attention to.
Some things need to be said, might not seem like it, but they do.
Some things can be left alone, but who can tell which is which.
I make no fucking sense.
Pick a scene in your life that u've enjoyed...relish it.
Do what makes you happy.
Make sure it makes you happy, then run with it.
Things do happen for a reason, we all have our own reasons.
Be fucking happy, NOW.
We love bullshit, bullshit does not however love us.
this was pretty damn lame, just wanted to say a few things.

9:10 pm - thought i'd update
|
allrighty.. first off i'd like to copy jon by saying that i also think i prefer to comment rather than write a journal. Reason being i honestly think that my journals are boring as hell. (also copying jon, i dont want the whole pity thing, i am just saying why i hardly ever update)
regardless.. lifes been treating me well recently, the wonderful Samantha has entered my life more. Other things going well too, class n work n stuff that is.
Enough about me. I really like considerate people. People that say thank you if u help em out or some minor thing. I also like people that smile and say hi to random people, like those greeters at wal-mart, i like those people. i dont know, you can go through life hating people and things, or you can just look at the positives and smile, makes me feel good, i dunno.
that was random, but i wanted to say it.
reminder to self: bring camera around with you more often, so many great pictures to take.
ok thats it for now, i must go krogering cuz i'm freakin hungry. shit i need a brush, ok walmarting time.
peace to the homeboys

1:17 am - i got da freakin net.
|
finally... i have internet in my room, we've had a connection for a full week and its been really frustrating not being able to have it in my own room, alas finally it is here. Only took a shitload of traveling, around $80, and feeding a wire down the stairs and across the hall, instead of thru the roof as i would've liked. But oh well, i have my computer stripped, with its cover off on the floor, but now i realize that nobody cares about my lack of internet woes, so i shall continue.
life seems as if its going well at the moment. Its funny, a lot of people i know are just being assholes, and sensitive bitches since school began, this is probably just the stress of starting classes again thoh, and other things. Oh well.
I'm getting on really well with corley and josh so far. I'm going to learn to play the guitar..well thats the plan anyway. I'm actually going to get decent grades this year, and perhaps have something of a lovelife. all things to come..
got nothin else to write..

12:48 am - rugby captains, lost luggage, and iced up pipes
|
its been rather a long time since i last updated, a month or two i think. So whats been happening to me in the past wee while...
I'll start off with my epic adventure to the motherland. I went to Scotland on the 24th july for about 2 weeks or so. I am so incredibly glad to have gone this year. Its been 2 years since i was last there and i was really getting a bit homesick. I managed to see almost all my family over there, including my brother. Met up with some of his friends on a few occasions and we went out to some pubs. I think i drank a good amount every day i was there, but i dont think i actually got drunk once, there was no need to, i had a great time just going over there and talking, laughing, and drinking. Its amazing how much different a role alcohol plays over there, but i wont get into that. One of the highlights of the trip was probably playing golf at St. Andrew's in a celebrity golf event. The idea of the thing was that 2 celebrities, Steve Redgrave (a 5-time olympic gold medalist) and Dougray Scott (he was the bad guy in MI2), would fly round Scotland by helicopter and play golf at 4 different courses in one day. Unfortunately the weather was horrendous that day and the helicopters were grounded so they resorted to driving round scotland, and thus, could not get to St. Andrews, were i was playing. Anyway, this was not that important. To begin with my uncle managed to get the opportunity through people he knew and his company to get a team together to play in this event. Since i was over at the time he invited me to make up the foursome. So we played a brand new course called St. Andrew's Bay. Beautiful course, lost many balls. Our team consisted of myself, my uncle stuart, his friend Murray, and a very well known celebrity in scotland-Finley Calder. (finley was the scottish rugby captain in the 80's and was one of the best players of the game) So we had a great time and got third place as a team out of about 13 or 14 teams.
The rest of the trip was great, apart for losing our luggage on the way over for 5 days. So great to go back there.
I went to 6 flags with aki, craig, and jeff the day after i got back. It was fun, but i STRONGLY reccommend getting the Q-Bot pass thing, cuz the lines are only fun if u enjoy being surrounded by 300 smelly rednecks with half there teeth missing and a t-shirt that says, "Silly faggot, Dicks are for chicks".
Silly rednecks, showers are for washing.
A few days later i move up to my apartment at uga. So far its the three of us, corley, josh, and myself, with the occasional weekend pop in by marie. The three of us seem to get along fine, so all is well. Only problem is the god damn air conditioning, didnt work for the first week we were here, and now i figured out that one of the insulated pipes isnt insulated where it should be therefore icing up every 6 hours. Must get people to fix for free.
We just received our cable package which includes cable modem, and digital cable with 104987074067873 channels.
Classes are good so far, they seem to be much more enjoyable that last year.
Thats enough for now...more later.

6:07 pm - ode to a pepper
|
woke up this morning, felt kinda DOSED. went to best buy to get the greatest cd ever created today. THIS IS THE PLACE, i thought as i walked in the store. i saw it for $9.99, there followed a TEAR from my eye. i looked at the cd and thought to myself, I COULD DIE FOR YOU. bearing in mind, this cd is no MINOR THING to me. i had been counting the minutes since MIDNIGHT. Outside there were many people, to my surprise they were giving away chili peppers tix to tomorrows concert, so i waited in line. UNIVERSALLY SPEAKING there wasnt much of a chance of me to get a ticket. BY THE WAY, i didnt get them. As i was leaving i prayed to the chili pepper gods, DONT FORGET ME. CABRON! ON MERCURY, i thought, away to listen to the cd in my car. Got in my car and felt the WARM TAPE. Almost hit a VENICE QUEEN trying to get out the parking lot. so i was listening, and listening, and listening. CANT STOP. THE ZEPHYR SONG has got me. Moral of the story: THROW AWAY YOUR TELEVISION, and start listening to this cd.
